Life is hard work.

Young adults today face innumerable challenges and obstacles as they continue to grow and transition into adulthood. Often this can be a period of life where finding guidance and a safe place to process openly can be an enormous help in the journey.

The transition from high school to college, work, the military, marriage, or the uncertainties of knowing what comes next can be a challenging, stressful, and disorienting time in life.

Many young adults have also experienced traumatic life events, painful experiences, or a season of feeling distant in relationships with parents, peers, or God.

Not understanding why or how to move forward can feel daunting and discouraging and understandably can cause someone to feel they need help to determine what are the next best steps ahead for their life.

Daily challenges can be overwhelming.

Difficulty and challenges in life can lead to a positive or negative change.  Our desire is for the former. We have worked with many millennial age young adults who were at the crossroads of a crisis, some of whom faced anxiety, addictive behavior, depression, a feeling of being stuck, uncertainty about next steps, confusion, and/or hopelessness.

Many were processing future career or education choices that lay before them. Others felt they could not see any good options for what should come next. Some were struggling with relational conflict either with their family, friends or significant others.

Whatever the problem, the therapy process can be an essential part of the process of getting “unstuck” and moving forward in positive ways.

We can guide you in life’s journey.

Sometimes the best way out of something is to journey through it, and that is where the therapy process is vitally important in a person’s life.  Change in therapy often comes through the client’s own experience of purposeful processing and reflection.

We see our role as working alongside the client to help guide them in this process so that they experience the change and transformation they need. Using empathetic listening, curious questions, and a variety of therapeutic skills and techniques, we journey with people in this vital process.

Instead of only focusing on problems, the therapy process helps clients acknowledge their challenges but then look for solutions that are already present and build on them. This approach allows clients to positively access strengths they already have but may be unaware of, which can lead to a significant transformation in their lives.

Learn the skills to adapt and overcome.

Prioritizing therapy can help clients to mature emotionally, relationally, and professionally as they learn new skills to tackle challenges and overcome obstacles they are facing. This may include social skills that can help them to attain or maintain jobs.

Many have come to therapy for help dealing with anxiety or depression that was holding them back from accomplishing educational, career, or relationship goals. Therapy can bring clarity on what the next steps could look like and can propel clients forward with confidence into the next season of their lives.

We would be privileged to walk alongside and serve you or your loved one during this unique season of life.

If you have an inclination that you might need to talk with someone, do it. Counseling is a perfectly normal and valuable experience that benefits many people. Is it time for you to get help and feel more connected in your relationships?
